Drupal 8 - Twig path function: force language
I have to generate path alias for given node in the english language, even if the current language is not English.
I tried different ways:
path('entity.node.canonical', {'node': node.id}, {'language': lang_en})
Where lang_en is the language object:
$variables['lang_en'] = Drupal::languageManager()->getLanguage("EN");
I tried using the "langcode" option in path function:
path('entity.node.canonical', {'node': node.id}, {'langcode': 'en'})
But none of these works. I still get the current language path: /it/node/1234
What's wrong?
Thanks
Edit
I finally managed using the language object. I was using the wrong uppercase language code so the object lang_en was null. This works:
$variables['lang_en'] = Drupal::languageManager()->getLanguage("en");
And then in twig file:
{{path('entity.node.canonical', {'node': node.id}, {'language': lang_en})}}
twig drupal-8
