Deploy React + Express webapp on AWS

0

I am currently trying to deploy my SPA react and express web app to aws. From the server aspect I have a sever route that uses nodemailer api to send an email.

I am using webpack to create a bundle and a dist folder with all my assets.

My app is structured as following:

|src
| |-dist
| | |-assets
| | | |-src
| | | | |-public
| | | | | |-images
| |-universal
| | |-utils
| | | |-validation
| | |-components
| | | |-home
| | | |-footer
| | | |-contact
| | | |-app
| | | |-projects
| | | |-resume
| | | |-navigation
| | | |-about
| | | |-common
| | | | |-ErrorMessage
| | | | |-Banner
| | | |-media
| | |-actions
| | | |-app
| | |-reducers
| | | |-app
| |-server
| | |-routes
| | | |-sendEmail
| |-public
| | |-images
| | |-documents
| | |-src
| | | |-public
| | | | |-images
| | | | |-documents
| |-data
| |-client
| | |-styles

I have 2 questions:

  1. I am currently deploying everything to an s3 bucket, would that be enough to support the "send email" functionality?

  2. Some of the resources cannot seem be accessed as in my app. Locally I am getting the images from the following path ../../../../public/images however the dist folder is configured as dist/assets/src/public/images, what is the best way to configure the path with regards to this.
