Caching a complex query

0

Here is my query:

SELECT * FROM (
SELECT * FROM dbo.Posts ORDER BY id DESC OFFSET 3 ROWS FETCH NEXT 2 ROWS ONLY
) as result ORDER BY id;

In this specific case it retrieves the fourth through sixth newest entries. This is to retrieve the newest posts. This would need to be accessed when someone were to visit my main page and so I'd obviously need to implement some sort of caching mechanism.

I am using key-value storage to cache the information. However, I don't really see how I could cache the results of a query like this. I suppose I could try to instead cache the ID's of the results, and then instead of using this query I could get each needed item individually. Then, though, the problem is that this could be resulting in hundreds of initial queries. Would this be worth it? What should I do?
