Does Host-Level Client-Side API connection Pool has is on Execution context in a stream?

0

I wonder if the Connection Pool of the Host-Level Client-Side API, has his own execution context ? I'm asking just to make sure that other step in the stream do not overuse the execution context of the connection Pool or the other way around.

In the past before akka-stream it was best practive to reserve an execution context if your stream was tapping into a database for example ?

Is there anything similar today, and is there a way to specify the execution context for the pool. If yes how to do it ?
