Converting ObservableCollection as IEnumerable returns null
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
}
After the following code has been executed:
ObservableCollection<int> temp = new ObservableCollection<int>() { 1 };
IEnumerable<object> items = temp as IEnumerable<object>;
items
is null
, why is this, ObservableCollection
implements the IEnumerable
interface and everything inherits from object
in c#?
What am I missing?
c# type-conversion

Possible duplicate of Generic List<T> as IEnumerable<object>

Consider changing the second line toIEnumerable<object> items = temp.Cast<object>();

Nov 16 '18 at 12:27
@mjwills: That would work. The interesting part is why the covariant conversion fromIEnumerable<int>
toIEnumerable<object>
does not work.

Agreed @Sefe. You should post one of the (many!) links on that topic as a duplicate. Perhaps stackoverflow.com/questions/12454794/… ?
