Cannot install R tiff library in Azure DataBricks

When trying to install the R tiff library in Azure Databricks, I am receiving an error.
Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Installation failed with message: Error installing R package: Could not install package with error: installation of package ‘tiff’ had non-zero exit status Full error log available at /databricks/driver/library-install-logs/r-package-installation-tiff-2018-11-16T20:21:11Z-Q3JBJQ.log
I was trying to utilize the out-of-the-box Import Library feature on my existing cluster.
