Python Server sent events to be finite

0

I am sending events to server using the yield in Python. The event is intercepted in client-side using JavaScript. But the thing is the browser keeps on receiving events and repeating it even when I have no data left.

Server Side:

@app.route('/upload', methods=['GET'])
def auee():
lif = [1,2,3,4,5]
def events():
for i in lif:
yield "data: %snn" % (i)

return Response(events(), content_type='text/event-stream')

Client Side:

if (!!window.EventSource) {
var source = new EventSource('/upload');
console.log(source)
source.onmessage = function(e) {
console.log(e)
var byte = e.data;
console.log(e.data)
var res = byte.split(/s/);

var markup = "<tr><td><input type='checkbox' name='record'></td><td>" + res[0] + "</td></tr>";
$("#mytable").append(markup);
}
}

I want to stop receiving or sending events when my script is done sending it. Probably print "Completed" on the client side when done.
