JP2 to JPG image, introducing Black Spots using ImageIO library

0

I am using below library to convert JP2 image to JPG.

    <dependency>
<groupId>com.github.jai-imageio</groupId>
<artifactId>jai-imageio-jpeg2000</artifactId>
<version>1.3.0</version>
</dependency>

The image after conversion introduce multiple black spots. When i use online image converter (https://www.freefileconvert.com/)then it works fine.

Below is the output jpg, from code i used.
enter image description here

You can observe black spots around the image. I am not able to attached source JP2 file here.

Code i used is as below:

public class CreateImageFileFromGraphicsObject{

public static void main(String args) throws IOException {
int width = 250;
int height = 250;
File foundFile = new File("C:\Users\krishnam\Documents\PDFDocs\Arun\arun_Text-2.jp2");
BufferedImage fb = ImageIO.read(foundFile);

// Constructs a BufferedImage of one of the predefined image types.
BufferedImage bufferedImage = new BufferedImage(fb.getWidth(), fb.getHeight(), BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);

// Create graphics which can be used to draw into the buffered image
bufferedImage.createGraphics().drawImage(fb,0,0,Color.WHITE,null);
Graphics2D g2d = bufferedImage.createGraphics();
g2d.setBackground(Color.white);
// create a string with yellow
g2d.setColor(Color.yellow);
g2d.drawString("Java Code", 50, 120);
g2d.dispose();
// Save as PNG
File file = new File("C:\Users\krishnam\Documents\PDFDocs\Arun\myimage.png");
ImageIO.write(bufferedImage, "png", file);

// Save as JPEG
file = new File("C:\Users\krishnam\Documents\PDFDocs\Arun\myimage.jpg");
ImageIO.write(bufferedImage, "jpg", file);
System.out.println("Completed!!!");
}}

Please suggest how i can upload JP2 file.

Note: I also used an application to convert JP2 to JPG which works fine.
http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDownload.htm

I also downloaded few sample images and tried converting with above code, it works perfectly.

  • After doing a lot of search, I managed to get it working using OpenJp2.dll library. If you have right .dll, then you can use java wrapper classes for jp2 to png/jpg conversion. Thanks :)
