1995 New Year Honours
The New Year Honours 1995 were appointments by most of the sixteen Commonwealth realms of Queen Elizabeth II to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of those countries, and honorary ones to citizens of other countries. They were announced on 31 December 1994 to celebrate the year passed and mark the beginning of 1995 in the United Kingdom,[1] New Zealand and Cook Islands,[2] the Bahamas,[3] Grenada,[4] Papua New Guinea,[5] the Solomon Islands,[6] Tuvalu,[7] Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,[8] and Belize.[9]
The recipients of honours are displayed here as they were styled before their new honour, and arranged by honour, with classes (Knight, Knight Grand Cross, etc.) and then divisions (Military, Civil, etc.) as appropriate.
