How can .NET deserialize data produced by RPC serialization
Windows 10 - VS 2017 - I have an unmanaged port monitor that utters print time notifications using the Async notify API.
I have a managed client app that receives those Async notifications.
The communication process works - the client receives the notifications uttered by the port monitor.
[Q1] - if I use the MS RPC serialization API (based on the MS C++ Picklp project in the MS SDK samples) to format packets that get sent by the unmanaged port monitor, is there any managed API that can correctly deserialize the received packets within the client?
Or would I need to put the RPC Serialization code into a dll and p/invoke it from the managed client? Or some other method?
The reason I'm using RPC serialization at all is because the Async sample code suggested it.
[Q2] - Is there some better way to send packets between server and client?
