wkhtmltopdf HostNotFoundError (NodeJS + Windows10)

0

I'm having some trouble with a new install of wkhtmltopdf on windows 10.

(Ubuntu 18.04 + NodeJS + wkhtmltopdf works perfectly but we have to change to windows 10)

Running environment:

  • Windows 10 pro (VM on ESXi)

  • NodeJS 8.10 (with HAPI 16.1.0)

  • wkhtmltopdf 0.12.5 MSVC 2015 install (PATH - windows environment
variables - is set; works fine from command line)

When Node app try to generate a pdf file from html i get HostNotFoundError.

Debug: internal, implementation, error
Error: Exit with code 1 due to network error: HostNotFoundError

wkhtmltopdf exited with code 1
at handleError (C:Projectnode_moduleswkhtmltopdfindex.js:142:16)
at ChildProcess.<anonymmous> (C:Projectnode_moduleswkhtmltopdfindex.js:114:7)
at emitTwo (events.js:126:13)
at ChildProcess.emit (events.js:214:7)
at Process.ChildProcess._handle.onexit (internal/child_process.js:198:12)

more info:

  • machine alias: dev

  • Restserver ip: 192.168.100.20:15000

  • Webserver url: http://dev:16000 (also works with: http://localhost:16000 and 192.168.100.20:16000)

wkhtmltopdf get local file url like this: http://dev:16000GetReportOrderindex.html?_id=5cb62234ab1&ver=1

I have found some solutions but they did not work.
