When recieving FCM in background, how can i notify firebase.messaging().onMessage()?

I have successfully installed react-native-firebase, and i can get a FCM data-only message when in background. What i want to do now, is notify the firebase.messaging().onMessage() listener to fire, either when i reopen the app from background or immediately.

my bgMessaging.js file:

export default async (message: RemoteMessage) => {

console.log(message);
//from here call handleNotification of other component

return Promise.resolve(message);
};

My Component-file.js which listens to FCM messages:

componentDidMount() {
this.notificationListener = firebase.messaging().onMessage((message: RemoteMessage) => {
this.handleNotification(message);
});
}

So, how can i connect these two files, so that when a FCM comes when in background, instead of logging it, to execute some code in my Component-file.js , like for example the handleNotification function?
