I'm trying to share the login between two applications, I mean that when the user signs in application1, it consumes a service to login aplication2, then user could navigate to application2 without troubles

this is the code of service on application2

string email = data["email"];

try
{
SignInManager.AuthenticationManager.SignOut(DefaultAuthenticationTypes.ApplicationCookie);
}
catch (Exception)
{
}

try
{
var response = SignInManager.PasswordSignIn(email, email, true, shouldLockout: false);
}
catch (Exception)
{
}

This is de Code on application1 that consumes the service

 HttpClient client = new HttpClient();
client.BaseAddress = new Uri("http://localhost:52087/");
client.DefaultRequestHeaders.Accept.Clear();
client.DefaultRequestHeaders.Accept.Add(
new MediaTypeWithQualityHeaderValue("application/json"));

var data = JsonConvert.SerializeObject(new { email = "admin@argos.com" });

var response = client.PostAsJsonAsync("http://localhost:52087/api/IngresosOnlineLogin/", data);
return RedirectPermanent("http://localhost:52087");

Every thing works fine but the problem is that when i attempt to navigate on application2 the login not persists, I mean application2 asks to login again

Does any one know the reason why session not persists?

Would really help me
