Collision detecting with 3D rectangles

So, I am making a camera system for a 3D ship game, and I want the camera to be limited in a rectangular area (to prevent the camera getting inside the ship).
And I certainly have no idea how to do this.
Let's think the plane is a rectangle with a size of (5, 5, 10) meters.
Now, I want to know if the camera is inside of that area, to prevent the camera from getting inside the plane.
