Partial View with required Types and Optional Associations
In my RCL, I want to create a Partial View that be used to handle a User's mailing address(es) throughout various applications.
In theory, I would like to:
- Loop through static Address Types stored in an
enum
(Home, Work, Other) - For each Type, have the basic inputs for address (street1, city, state, etc.) rendered to the screen.
- Associate row of type to associated
User.UserAddress
(IF it exists - but if not, STILL show an empty row of Type)
Essentially, I could create a LEFT JOIN on address types so that null records are returned for the USER if they do not have an address of that type specified. But, it seems like there should be a better way.
Is this possible? If so, can you give me a code sample?
Thank you so much!

This really shouldn't be a responsibility of an RCL. You can add your partial view to have a ready-made form for adding/editing addresses, but the actual logic of doing so is part of your app.
