RWD Side Navigation transfering width from mobile to monitor jQuery

Welcome,

Side navigation menu button. If you click the .menubutton then it shows the menu and if you click the .nav_menu_phone_size then it hides the menu and changes the width of the navigation to 0. That's good but the problem is when you resize it back to "monitor size" or "x > 751px" then the .nav_menu still has 0 width instead of resetting to it's original css.

TLDL: I want the .nav_menu to resize back to 100% width if the browser is changed back to width > 751px (without refreshing the browser).

As show (jQuery):

$(document).ready(function() {
$('.menubutton').click(function() {
$(".nav_menu").animate({ width: "21.04rem" }, 500 );
$(".nav_menu_phone_side").delay(500).fadeIn();
});
});

$(document).ready(function() {
$('.nav_menu_phone_side').click(function() {
$(".nav_menu").animate({ width: "0" }, 500 );
$(".nav_menu_phone_side").delay(500).fadeOut();
});
});

I do have a primitive way of doing it like this but I prefer doing it via jquery if possible (CSS):

@media all and (max-width: 5000px) and (min-width: 751px) {
.nav_menu {
width: 100% !important;
}
}

          • Thanks for your answer but that doesn't work if you are making it RWD. If I resize the window in the same browser then it doesn't make the desktop version 100%.
