What's the proper way to obtain a malformed (XML) SOAP Message in Spring Web Services? I want a chance to log the whole XML request text (or the largest available portion).

I've tried adding an EndpointInterceptor and EndpointExceptionResolver but none seem to be called. Well, I can't say for sure that the latter got configured, because the documentation says that:

Endpoint exception resolvers are automatically picked up by the MessageDispatcher, so no explicit configuration is necessary.

and I'm not sure if exposing it as a @Bean is all I have to do.

I've stepped to WebServiceMessageReceiverHandlerAdapter.handleInvalidXmlException() (in org.springframework.ws.transport.http), but didn't get much information so far.

This is using Spring Boot 2.0.5
