YouTube Player getCurrentVideoConfig().args.adaptive_fmts is undefined
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
}
When playing 360 video, the adaptive_fmts
property that is retrieved via the YouTube Player API:
player.getCurrentVideoConfig().args.adaptive_fmts
is undefined.
This value is read within the Player.onReady
event callback.
I've noticed that other args
appear to be populated however adaptive_fmts
is not.
After refreshing the page once, the adaptive_fmts
becomes defined, so the issue seems to occur only on the first time a new 360 video is played on YouTube.
Is there another callback (besides Player.onReady
) that would signal when adaptive_fmts
is ready and populated?
Alternatively, is there another option for retrieving the projection_type once a 360 video is ready?
(Note that there appears to have been a change to the YouTube API around November 9th, 2018 where Player.getUpdatedConfigurationData() was replaced with Player.getCurrentVideoConfig(). I've noticed that this behavior where adaptive_fmts is undefined started around this time.)
Thank you
