Blueimp fileupload size not displaying

0

I'm using the 'Basic Plus' jQuery blueimp fileuploader template. And there is a function formatFileSize(); to format a file size to either KB, MB or GB. But I'm net getting any output, It is returning a correct response but just not displaying it on the page.

{% console.log(o.formatFileSize(file.size)); %}
<td>
<span class="size">{%=o.formatFileSize(file.size)%}</span>
</td>

So I've uploaded a file and in the console it outputs 2.8MB, but nothing on the page I've tried debugging so I did

<span class="size">{%=o.formatFileSize(file.size)%}hiii</span>

It displayed hiii but no file size, any suggestions?

EDIT : It's now not even outputting a value inside the console

Object
files: [{…}]
formatFileSize: ƒ ()
arguments: null
caller: null
length: 0
name: ""

This is what the server responds size: "2849499"
