Using a variable returned from a db insert into an api call

0

I'm having a problem determining how to structure my code in my specific use case. I need to get the last ID entered from my sql insert statement (this.lastID), insert it into the parameters.callback object, and then send a request with that data. Surely this will need to be done with promises, or callbacks, but I'm not sure how. I've done hours of research, and cant seem to find anything that fits my specific case.

db.run(`INSERT INTO scan_requests(name, url, date) VALUES(?,?,?);`, [name,urls,date], function (err) {
if (err) {
res.send(err.message);
}
res.send(req.body)
console.log(`${this.lastID}`)
})

parameters = {
url: 'https://API/',
body: {
urls: req.body.urls,
/*various
api
info*/
callback: `http://localhost:3000/${id}` //id should be this.lastID returned from above
}
}

request
.post(options)
.on('error', function(err) {
res.send)(err.message)
})
.pipe(res)
});
