VideoView Loss Buffer
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
}
I made a simple app(or code sample) to reproduce videos , but when i use "seekTo(int)" in the video , the buffer that was loaded gets lost , Why does that happend.. ? =/.
This would be the part that i think , you would need to see.
videoView.setKeepScreenOn(true);
//videoView.setVideoURI(Uri.parse("android.resource://" + getPackageName() + "/" + R.raw.second_consumible));
videoView.setMediaController(new MediaController(this));
videoView.setVideoURI(Uri.parse("https://www.addpipe.com/sample_vid/short.mp4"));
videoView.requestFocus();
DisplayMetrics metrics = new DisplayMetrics(); getWindowManager().getDefaultDisplay().getMetrics(metrics);
android.widget.LinearLayout.LayoutParams params = (android.widget.LinearLayout.LayoutParams) videoView.getLayoutParams();
params.width = metrics.widthPixels;
params.height = metrics.heightPixels;
params.leftMargin = 0;
videoView.setLayoutParams(params);
videoView.setOnPreparedListener(new MediaPlayer.OnPreparedListener() {
@Override
public void onPrepared(final MediaPlayer mp) {
videoView.start();
mp.setVolume(0f,0f);
seekBar.setProgress(0);
seekBar.setMax(videoView.getDuration());
}
});
I also tried Exoplayer and happends exactly the same.
Problem:
The problem is that the behaivor that a video has in local(in the phone) is not the same that a video has in streaming (because the buffer , after be loaded , gets lost if i use seekto(int), Is there some solution for this...?
Thanks in advance
