Xcode doesn't show initializer code completion unless .init is typed
In a simple iOS Swift project (Swift 4 in Xcode 10)
I created a .swift file to define a sub-class of UICollectionViewController. I am trying to generate an object in AppDelegate.swift. And I found that I can only use Sentence 1 to generate objects instead of using Sentence 2 (which can work in a video).
Sentence 1: let swiping = SwipingController.init(collectionViewLayout: layout)
Sentence 2: let swiping = SwipingController(collectionViewLayout: layout)
SwipingController.swift
class SwipingController : UICollectionViewController, UICollectionViewDelegateFlowLayout{
override func viewDidLoad() {
super.viewDidLoad()
collectionView?.backgroundColor = .red
}
AppDelegate.swift
func application(_ application: UIApplication, didFinishLaunchingWithOptions launchOptions: [UIApplication.LaunchOptionsKey: Any]?) -> Bool {
// this is how we build our app in code
window = UIWindow()
window?.makeKeyAndVisible()
let layout = UICollectionViewFlowLayout()
let swiping = SwipingController.init(collectionViewLayout: layout)
window?.rootViewController = swiping
return true
}
The exact problem is that the autofill won't appear when I input SwipingController(
or SwipingController(coll
, which seems that this subclass doesn't inherit the functions of super class. Autofill will appear when I input SwipingController.init(
.
