module 'PyQt5' has no attribute 'QtWidgets'

0

I have the following line of code:

import PyQt5

app = PyQt5.QtWidgets.QApplication(sys.argv)

and I get the error that PyQt5 has no attribute "QtWidgets," which it clearly does according to the documentation and according to the working examples I have:

import PyQt5
from PyQt5.QtWidgets import (QWidget, QToolTip, QPushButton, QApplication)

app = QApplication(sys.argv)

I'm trying to write the code so I don't have to import everything I use individually, but can simply reference it from the top PyQt5 import. Is this possible right now, and what do I need to change?
